Before you ever get to the clinic you will be asked to get copies
of your medical records and any recent radiographs. You will also
be asked to bring a list of all medications. Please wear loose fitting
clothing (such as jogging shorts and T-shirt). The typical first visit to a chiropractor starts like most any doctor visit. You will be requested to fill out a medical history form including information on medications you are currently taking and recent trauma, illnesses, or treatments by other health care practitioners. This is the most important step in your treatment, it allows our chiropractors to get the "whole" picture of your health. We provide whole treatment to patients not just a treatment for symptom or bacteria. Next you will be examined by the Chiropractor. Dr Husain will assess your situation and perform orthopedic tests. Following the orthopedic tests Dr. Husain may check muscle strength and sensation patterns as well as perform reflex testing and general chiropractic diagnostic tests. Dr. Husain will also perform palpation of your spine and/or extremities as well as your range of motion in bending and flexing. This will give her an idea of your bone biomechanics. At this point radiographs (x-rays) may be necessary as per doctor's discretion. This will conclude your first visit. On your second visit your Dr. Husain will go over your condition with you, report of findings, and discuss your treatment as well as therapy. |
