Knee pain can have a multitude of different causes. Non traumatic Knee pain is often due to repetitive stress to the knee joint due to compensatory mechanisms. When the muscles of the leg are out of balance due to a difference in strength and flexibility, as well as activation, the joint will be loaded improperly and cause inflammation. Often times, knee pain is a secondary development due to an imbalance or issue in the low back, and/or lack of support from our feet. Our doctors are trained to perform orthopedic tests to rule out pathology, and are equipped to find the root cause of pain and treat it accordingly. Strengthening exercises, as well as foam rolling the soft tissue surrounding the knee joint are often recommended in conjunction with active care in-office.
